A very wealthy man of course. It's the only way to live a good life.

Are you sure that's such a wise opinion? It won't be long before the ravaging hordes of Christians come bearing down on us because of our unmoral views.

Don't worry, I love the Christians: morality is always such a fun part to play.

Earning enough for having a reasonably standard living for me and my family, and spend the superfluous money on the wanderer, the orphan, the needy, and those who ask. Well, and some to be spent travelling around the world to visit other places, cultures, and peoples.

I understand that is option 2.

I'd rather help others experience the happiness I would if I had all that money.

    Dear Friends,

Although I'm not able to vote on the poll, here’s my opinion: it depends on the definition of a better world. For me, a better world would be a world without the human race. If I could, I would “press a button and make all humans be gone”, in the words of a member here in TWC in another thread.
But since that is not possible, I’ll be happy to open a horse breeding centre in Alentejo. I will then teach other younglings the noble art of horse riding, uncovering new mysteries of equitation and promoting animal life on this planet.

It's not that hard really; seeing as you already want to live in Alentejo you might as well just stand outside, in mid August, all day without drinking water or eating. Repeat at will and you'll probably die in 3-4 days.

I would look after my family No.1. In fact I would set my family up for many generations, to the point where they would forget me and my contribution.

After I had accomplished that....I would give, give, give to whatever suited my fancy at the time.

The world is suffering,my friends.Shouldn't it be the time to realize that we owe something to it,which makes all of us special on this bleeding planet?Really,I feel it should be.The horrendous condition of this world ascertains an era where we don't want to live and care for this world in agony,we want to live and be cared by others. But isn't it a very egotistical and self-centered thought to be living with all wealth remaining hard-hearted for this world?Maybe many would feel unattached towards the feelings ubiquitous in my post because their point of view would say that this world hasn't given them anything,so there's no point caring about it.But if we,the mindful beings show heedlessness towards the atrocities and global tension prevalent on this globe, then who would care for the verity which is excruciating? In one or the other manner,we must feel a bit dutiful towards it even if the world hasn't been of any assistance to us.After all,we are all special and if each one of us holds such an attitude, surely this world can be a better place than ever.

I honor the people who give out in charity, spread the message of peace, persevere for environmental stability, esteem family values, favor the general good of society, help in decreasing social parochialism as well as those who earn sufficiently and believe in contributing equally to the society in an effective manner. If there's a place in heaven, that's surely for these people. Not that I'm advocating such people here, but it's only that favoring them is a small segment of my character.

I don't put much stock into money, or any of those lame ass fiscal matters. Of course, I appreciate and acknowledge the power that money and being wealthy holds, but I decided to look elsewhere for my happiness in life. I figured that money and power, as far as we look at them, will not get you anything but material, and material doesn't last very long and is easily forgoten. Sure, it's nice to feel those short bursts of pleasure that we get from indulging in our materialistic society, but I'd rather practice moderation and feel the greatness that comes from living a well rounded life. I'd prefer to be myself as best as I can and use my potential to the maximum that I can, hoping that one day I'll be able to contribute something good to the world. I'd still like to have a few bucks though... I do admit, it would be nice.

I voted: making this world a better place

Which can also be done while being personally wealthy...

Become wealthy, buy a small nation, make it the absolute ****ing best looking and most efficient nation in the world, and use that as a model for the rest of the world. The rest of my life, I'd work towards making this model work for each and every country that pays enough.

Be wealthy all your life, and when you die, give it all away. Not like your money grubbing wife and kids did anything to deserve it.

No really. There is absolutely no problem with living a good life. If money makes you happy, then fine. It is good that you are happy. But when you die, you don't need anything. Other people do.

Personal wealth, no help for the rest of the world. To be honest, I dont beleive a single one of you who voted that you would help the world, your all a bunch of liars. Money corrupts, so those that say you would spend it on helping people truly dont know its allure, those that say they wouldn't accept its lure.
