    Default Trait/Ancillary To Do List

    I'm just creating this so I can have a to-do list for Trait/Ancillary stuff that still needs to be done (as I seem to be forgetting stuff). If there's anything I seem to be missing or that is requested that isn't on my list please post and let me know.

    Traits

    - Remove all references to senate standing/popular standing/electability -released
    - Add GAFH health traits -released
    - Add non-GAFH health traits - done not released (Nellup)
    - Add genetics from GAFH -in progress
    - Add repmans leadership system traits
    - Add desert movement traits -waiting for new map
    - Add winter movement traits -waiting for new map
    - Add "too long in the field" trait
    - Add roman cognomen
    - Add loyalty
    - Add religion (culture system)
    - Add AIGeneral trait to improve AI Abilities - released
    - Rework GoodCommander/BadCommander triggers to be more difficult
    - Migrate existing CharacterMaries event triggers to new format -released
    - Change EDCT & export_VnV by combing effects lines where possible
    - Leader/Heir titles by faction/culture - in progress (Nellup)
    - Add triggers for temple of naval to give admirals bonuses on creation - done, internal release
    - Armenian nobles houses - done, internal release
    - Pathian noble houses - done, not released (Nellup)
    - Imperial reform trait
    - Culture/Faction traits - in progress (Gotthard)

    Ancillary

    - Add repmans leadership system ancillaries
    - Add GAFH ancillaries - released
    - Redo temple ancillaries to match current temple lineup - released
    - Remove all references to senate standing/popular standing/electability - released
    - Check seamaster & shipwright ancillaries to see if they're acquirable - done
    - Redo all ancillaries triggers to conform to new handling of CharacterMarries event -DONE (none present)
    - Change EDA & export_ancillaries by combing effects lines where possible
    - Armenian nobles houses - done, internal release
    - Parthian noble houses - done, not released (Nellup)

    Why you dont ask XGM mod leader for using some of their ancillaries?
    they had made some new traits for greeks

    We have permission to use Repman's Leadership Mod from BareBones....my guess would be it's better. But that's just a guess. Squid would know.

    Genetics will be stuff where a son (or daughter which is already done) will either be similar their parent or opposite to their parent. So if the father is brave, and the son is like the father he will have a bigger chance of being brave, if he is not like his father he will have a bigger chance of being a coward, etc, etc.

    The leadership stuff, is the character rising through the military ranks (i.e. centurion, tribune, legate) or the equivalent civilian ranks. This will involve a whole tonne of traits and ancillaries.

    EDIT: With leadership will be culture specific faction leader/heir titles

    With leadership will be culture specific faction leader/heir titles
    Are these all worked out already? Is it faction-specific or just culture-specific? (greek/roman/eastern/barbarian are the cultures, right?)

    I certainly don't have them all worked out yet, and if people could find appropriate titles I could even do faction specific.

    What repman had was:

    Roman:
    Leader: Principus Senatus
    Heir: Future Principus Senatus

    Greek:
    Leader: Basileus
    Heir: Future Basileus

    Barbarian:
    Leader: Rex
    Heir: Fillius Rex

    All of these are subject to change and if I get ranks for each faction I can make it faction specific. I'd also still need egyptian, carthaginian, and eastern cultural ranks at the very least.

    I know he was working on Carthaginian just before he moved on to MTW2, you might PM him and ask if he ever finished it?

    I think we can make it faction specific, shouldn't be too hard. For example the Belgae, Boii and Arverni would all use the same titles; the Getai and Skythians would use the same, etc.

    How many levels of titles would you need? Just leader and heir? Can we have more than that?

    At the very least leader and heir (since those traits exist already in the game though are genetic for all factions) any additional titles can be done in a variety of ways, either through ancillaries, if there are limited amounts of the title in the game (if you were doing Defender of the North, Defender of the South, etc, type titles), or via the military rank system.

    With appropriate titles I can create a rank system for each culture and/or faction.

    I've been thinking about trying to come up with a way to make a diplomat specialize their skills for a certain faction/culture. So that if your diplomat deals with greeks alot, he beomes better at negotiating with them. Is this a good idea? Should I go forward with trying to find out if there's someway that I can implement this through traits/ancillaries?

    It makes sense, and it would be cool. But it's not a HUGE deal, if you have more pressing work to do.
