    Default why CTD?

hi got a short Q. why the hell does my game allways ctd after I have played and won a siege or "sally fourth" battle (you know when you attack the besieging army before they do)?

Its really irritating as I absolutly love the mod.

I have patch rome to 1.3 and then to 1.5 and Its installed all from sratch.

anybody got any ideas? please help.

okey this just gets weirder, it seems that it only ctd when I'm either defending (sallied forth) one of my own cities and wins or when I retake a citie that I have previously owned and win it back.

Its a heating issue with the Vcard. RTW is buggy and fo some reason when certain card overheat to a certain Temp even though other games work it can CTD.

First off though what card are you using and what Brand?

Second did you have ANY mods installed before? Even if you deleted them did you play an addon or mods before? This could be a key to help fix you issue.

By vCard I'm guessing your asking about my graficscard correct? (I ain't no real champ when it comes to the bits n pieces ) I'm running on a somewhat old ATI (I think) radeon X800 card.

so lowering my grafix settings might help? or what should I do?

I would lower graphics if that doesnt work then lower settings to Large for men in unit instead of Huge. I use to have an X800 and RTW doesnt like ATI too much, seems to run best and stable on Nvidia cards. I have a 7800GS now and it makes a difference in the game. I had heating issues with the X800 even with a custom Fan, RTW likes to cut the game to descktop even though the temp is only 45c. lol CPU is another thing the game likes to dump on.

I too went from a X800 to a 7800GS and noticed a difference in the amount of CTD's.
So glad they made a GS version of the card, my choices for a vcard was restricted by my power unit, which I didn't want to upgrade too.
