Roman Civil War?

i was just wondering weather it would be possible to include a provincial campaign with the 3 families system or something, i would love to see the different legions fighting each other in the campaign.

If you download patch8, it has a senate campaign, but not a three families campaign.

DVK: No, it doesn't. That was going to be included in Patch10, but has been removed because we're going to use the faction slot for something else.

As for Civil War, stick with Roma Surrectum long enough and you'll have more civil war than you can handle....

Great idea, but it might be difficult to script the AI to only get a certain unit set for an army, and only have one of each of its respective Legions at a time.

RS is already THE best RTW mods and a civil war would make it even better

Instead of making them playable in the campaign maybe you could make it so like free people can recruit 1 or 2 legions in a custom battle.

or in campain the rebals spawn legions in the right places and that would also save a faction slot

dvk has an idea for the ULTIMATE civil war, you will be amazed when you read about it. I start to drool when I think about it. BUT, that will be RS version 3. We're still finalizing version 1. So patience.

EDIT: Whoops, somehow I put this post in the wrong thread.

On the topic: me personally, I'd like a possibility of a "Roman Civil War", but splitting the Romans into separate near-individual factions would leave less autonomy for me as a player. I'm fine with being in total control of the Roman faction.

Yes the Seleucids will be fixed in the next patch. Trust me they are VERY different.

I really wouldn't want a three family set up for civil war, didn't care for it right from the start, that's why I went with a mod. Also don't care for the Senate either.

I hate both the 3 families AND the Senate -- too gamey for me. dvk has a much better idea that makes the civil wars part of the fabric of the mod.

meh i prefer a united rome...i didn't like it in vanilla where the other roman families got big enough so that you don't get to fight very much with other cultures
