I'm not really sure on the parameters of the battle map kind (trees, tall grass, etc.)

If you establish troops there in your set up phase, then move them, do they give themselves away? Or if you move troops in there during the battle, do they still go unnoticed? And what exactly has to happen to get the "Surprised by emerging enemy" effect?

i think when you move your unit they appear, only when they are not moving and in tall grass or something do they hide, i think the only way for your unit to move without being notice is if they are far away from your enemies.

If you move a unit from one hiding place to another, I don't think the AI notice; it's just too stupid. Unless the enemy units are close enough, of course.
