The common culture of a tribe is a sign of its inner cohesion. But tribes are vanishing from the modern world, as are all forms of traditional society. Customs, practices, festivals, rituals and beliefs have acquired a flut and half-hearted quality which reflects our nomadic and rootless existence, predicated as we are on the global air-waves.

I can't say that i've been here from the start but the growth of TWC was huge. That is both good and bad in some ways.
I do remember TWCs one of darkest hours when a certain crazy mod (looking at you Manji... :cool ) deleted a lot of stuff.

you know you're an old timer when you see the same topics and post over 1000x's :evil
when you see reincarnations of previous posters with new ones. or of yourself....
Why back in my day, we had to climb up a hill, twelve miles, in a blizzard, and clip Boris' toenails, just to post a topic.
Kids these days are just spammin all over the place, no respect for the older generation. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go collect this month's issue of AARP and go fall asleep in the periodicals section of the library.

My time here has ended. The time of the syntigmata has ended. Such is how these things are, and I accept it. In the several years I was a member of this forum, I fought for what I considered to be the most beneficial actions to enrich the forum. I regret none of my actions, and retain my personal honor and integrity.
