    Default After Patch 10

    What is on the agenda once Patch 10 is balanced? Are we going to make a patch 11, or go to RS 2.0, assuming this is RS 1.10...

    This may be really early, but we should start thinking about what is in it.

    ie. Would patch 11 be an upgrade on patch 10, or would you need to uninstall 10 to install 11.

    These patches will be 'inclusive'....I guess that's the word I want. Patch 11 will include everything in Patch 10, 12 will have everything in 11, etc. The reason is so there aren't a dozen patches to install the mod.

    As for what's on the agenda, well I'm sure others have their thoughts. I know new units will be added...couple more factions or more reskinned. For myself, I want to work on the interface, buildings, the Free People, get the new map in.....by and large just keep improving things.

    One of the priorities for me must be to reskin some of the free peoples' units, and give them decent unit cards. Particularly the barbarian type units.

    I think my plan will be to go with the Celtic factions - Boii, Belgae and Averni, and slave and free peoples' factions....I guess AE will probably do Sarmatia, Scythia and Armenia first?

    Id love to see Sarmatia skinned. Some of the unit cards dont match up, like the Steppe warlord. Also maybe add some units to Macedon?

    Please don't forget the General Cards. Dacia and Gaul stoll have the old ones two. Dang, I wish I knew how to make them, I could help....

    Now that I'm done with the map (I can sit back and watch NR suffer now ) I have plenty of things that I'm working on for the traits/ancillary stuff that I'd like to get in for patch11.

    Will you be able to still make an installer and put in whatever hotfixes we have Squid?

    Speaking of the installer, can there be any way to not make you have to use the UI.bat? I always have problems with it.

    More on topic, will all of the overhauls (New factions, start date) be in Roma Surrectum 2.0, or sooner?

    I can automate the ui.bat so it doesn't have to be manually started, if that helps any.

    Yeah, how soon do we start switching over to the new date and new factions? Do we do it one faction at a time, or all at once?

    Just curious, but what does UI.bat actually do?

    I haven't seen it in any of the other mods I've played.

    It extracts all the files in UI_1.pak (where all the unit cards and building cards are), copies the new ones into the extracted folders, then repacks the files and puts it back where it belongs.

    And yes, Squid, it would be nice if it could just be made to run automatically.

    Okay, it's just that I don't know why we need it, while all of the other mods I've played don't.

    Well there are many changes we can make while still in 280 BC -- Gallic tribes to Arverni, Germans to Cimbri, reskinning units, getting new map up and running, finalizing unit rosters -- several weeks worth of work.

    What will have to be done all at once are the new factions (Boii, Belgae, Skythians, Sparta/Rhodes) and new starting locations.

    Im sure all of the beta testers will be willing to help out with stuff that we can do, just to take the load of you guys.

    I know i would do as much as i could to hurry this mod along.

    The besy thing some of you can do is PLAY. Seriously, I really need to know how the battles are, how the money is in both '0' and '1' turn. A number of factions haven't been touched yet. Just play anything 30-40 years. My goal is to have money be tight to just right, and I believe I have the system in place to tweak it now so I can accomplish that. But I really need input on this. It's very important. I don't want people having 500,000 million denarii like the last time.
