It was kinda cool sounding, but I don't think he really qualifies as the greatest ever. Not in my own opinion anyways.

Not bad, but James Earl Jones has the best voice ever.

Muse best voice ever, yeah ok whatever takes your fancy.

In my opinion the best singing voice ever was Freddie Mercury.

(above: Freddie Mercury, he had a voice that none of his peers could match as witnessed at his tribute concert and at Live Aid)

Not only was he a great vocalist he was an unbelievable performer on stage a well, frankly Queen makes all of today’s bands look positively boring. Check out his clip from Live Aid.

As for non vocalist, James Earl Jones, Patrick Stewart and Brian 'Gordon’s alive?!?' Blessed are the voices I rate.

Mercury had the most incredible range of any singer that I know. Falsetto was just one of them (which in all fairness he didn't use that much), he range included, Rock-a-billy, hard rock, pop, blues, opera, dance, funk, country and western, glam rock, heavy metal, techno. The only genre I don't think he touched was rap.

oh, I was actually responding to the first post. That was all that I could see in that guy's voice that made it exceptional in any way.

I agree about Mercury being incredible.
