    Default Free Garrison Troops

    Doesn't it seem kind of strange to grant the player free troops (that get to be kept) just for being attacked?

    I'm very early in the game right now and the enemy just besieged one of my settlements. It spawned like 6 units in my castle, 2 of which were DFKs and Longbowmen, both are units I'm currently incapable of producing any where in my kingdom. Getting sieged is almost lucrative.

    Seems like I'd have to try awfully hard to let one of my settlements get taken. Especially when you consider the AI's propensity to attack with full stacks of militia.

    I really like the garisson script but i agree that it shouldn't give the defender units his building tree(empire-wide) does not allow.

    it is unrealistic, but i like when during siege i get units i can not produce because then they are more exotic.. i can not produce or retrain them, i must spare them.. use them carefully.. then the varangian gard is really rare and game gets a little mystery..

    @pat the magnificent;
    They are not actually free, they cost the same as if you would recruit them. If you want to avoid the cost, make sure you engage them before they put your city under siege.

    I agree they should not be 'special' units though, my opinion is that they should be regular militia and spearmen drafted hastily from the city and countryside to boost your defenses.

    The Danes, I swear, with their half arsed attempts at a 'war'. You gotta give it to 'em, they just dont stop trying. Listen, I've fought the Timurids, ever heard of them? Elephants with cannons on their backs. Yea, Timurids. You guys are like kids on tricycles compared to them. -REZ

    I second this. Though it does create more interest in the game.

    remove something in "campaign_script"
    I dont remember what to remove because I have allready removed it, But it is VERY OBVIOUS(And reduced field costs).

    Folder: \Medieval II Total War\DLV_ext\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign

    File: campaign_script
