I hate to say it, but I actually agree with the Mustachioed one here. (Nothing against Mustachioed people, just against Giraldo Rivera)
I despise both of these overpayed blowhards who are household names in America only because of their anachronistic, hypocritic and counter-productive nature.
Shouldn't this be in the mudpit?

Those two are dee dee dee. I loved the video I saw in which Rivera was punched in the face by a skinhead during an interview.

I saw that on cable yesterday. I was laughing my arse off and the kids were looking at those 2  in horror. The thing is when the interview continued on another topic both were instantly calm and collected like nothing happened.

Kudos to Geraldo-moustachio though, he didn't back down with huge 6 foot 4 O'Reilly getting in his face.

My opinion: O'Reilly said to Geraldo "I haven't had a big barney on the Factor for a while, so come on and let's have one my friend. Good for ratings."

I think those two secretly commit sexual acts upon one another anyway...

Look at the size of that ****ing vein in Bill's head! You could probably swim down that! Hahah, can't wait until Daily Show gets back, a nice free gift for them. Mind you, guess it means I'll have to get off the net because when they show Daily Show in the UK they edit out stuff that's too American centric. Which seems silly to me.

Well like this. Obviously in Britain if you're watching the Daily Show you're going to have to be interested in American politics so you'll know somethings, and Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert are relatively well known in student circles, but people like Bill O'Reilly are utterly unknown. Not many people in Britain would know who these people were, so it will probably be editted out. Might be wrong. The main reason the Colbert Report is not aired in Britain whereas the Daily Show is is that the Colbert Report is a satire of people like Bill O'Reilly who is unknown outside of America.

Next time Bill O'Reilly says he has the most ratings out of the political shows, don't believe it, Daily Show is broadcast in thirteen countries.

haha anytime i see something incredibly stupid like this in the news i just wait for daily show and colbert to ripe them apart. its amazing how much good political commedy is handed to them on a silver platter. heck when they elected bush, i just knew it was going to be 4 years( yea i was optimistic) of great daily show clips of him saying retarded stuff.

In Aussie on cable we get O'Reilly daily, plus the Daily Show with John Stewart every day he's on followed by Colbert, but then on normal network TV we get the Daily Show "Global Edition" which is just an omelette of the week's best (and yeah, not the overly American stuff).

Anyone with cable knows as much about US politics as the average American I would say anyway.

Moustached guy ftw. Then again, that was expectable, considering the other guy is O'Reilly

RZZZA I don't understand it either (it sounds like shite to me for the most part) but I wouldn't suggest he be imprisoned for being a "wise guy". What O'Reilly means is he should be imprisoned for the offense of "confusing O'Reilly's moral sensibilities."

BTW I think that rap culture BS does contribute to little ghetto kids wanting to be and idolizing "gangsters", which is another word for murderers, drug-dealers and pimps. So I guess O'Reilly is right in a way - "gangsta ( ) rappers" could be charged with incitement.

Anyway that is for another thread....

Rap music is exactly the same as R rated movies, does Tony Montana contribute to little kids wanting to be drug dealers?

Probably not, but even so, who cares? God bless the drug dealers, we need them. They sell us the drugs we want.

Here's Cam'ron and Dame Dash on O'Reilly's show

Dash made some good points but Cam'ron acted like the fool he is

First of all, down with cam'ron and down with dipset.

Second of all, camron and Dash pwned O'Reilly badly and I agree with all their points.

Is it arnold szhwerzenheimer's fault if someone watches the terminator and then shoots up a school with a minigun? No, this blaming media nonsense is just misdirection. They used to blame rock, now they focus on rap. But y'know what, rock is just as violent as rap. Listen to marilyn manson, look at kurt cobain. Music has long been the domain of ADULTS, just like R rated movies.

Everything has to be about the children, screw the damn children. Screw them in their little tiny ears. If 100 children have to die in order for the next Fugees album to come out, then lets sacrifice those children Aztec-steelo A.S.A.P. so that the rap game gets another shot in the arm.

Music is more important than individual problems, If I had to choose between saving 1 kids life and erasing Dark Side of the Moon from human memory forever, it would be no contest. I'd take Dark Side of the Moon and so would any other self respecting music fan.

Yes, I value the collective art over individual lives or problems.

edit: everyone is aways so hung up about the negatives of rap, what of the positives? This is rap:

"So get your egg crashed, by my Hellz Wind Staff
While the feature broadcast is splashed to tell the news
like Katey Chung, how the bullet collapsed his lung
His father watched the horror as he swallowed his tongue
Another youth dead, before the age of twenty-one
Left his son to grow, in the ghettoes of the slums
With a shot that go, for twisted metal for cash flow
React slow ***** and get, P.L.O.
By the lone gunner, who took revenge for his brother
who got slain last summer by a cocaine runner
A new year is dawning, new crews is forming
Rival gangs warring blood steadily pouring
The streets are deep Son every day is like a rerun
So I reach out and try to teach one
    But eighty-five percent uncivilized content
No tolerance so a lifetime is spent
behind a cage bent smoked out on a park bench
Killer instinct slave rap ****** get lynched"

Notice how theres no glory in grisly death, poverty or life on the streets. Rap is truth.

The problem is that people like Bill O'Reilly dont understand rap. They would read these lyrics:

"Living legend, veteran known to set trend
Lethal weapon, step through your section
With the force like luke skywalker
    Rhyme author, orchestrate mind torture
Live performer, bit the mic sayanora
Borderline to insane, I rain firewater
Tape recorder, cant be saved by a court order
I got my sword cross your throat you joke"

and interpret them literally. "OMG, he's got a sword across someones throat! That is a bad example for our CHILDREN!"

What you have to understand is that rap = poetry, its combining words in a way that it sounds good and forms pictures in peoples minds. Its a story is all it is, there is nothing to glorify here, its just well structured lyrics meant to be appreciated for the way they are put together and delivered.

I agree. And besides, have there not always been tales that talk about violence and such, like bards in medieval times. There's a reason for the "Parental Advisory" sticker.
