I love the heraldry system but I've been unsuccessful getting my characters promoted. Anybody got some tips for me?

you mean, command stars or knightly ranking... ie: squire, ritter, and so on?
This is from the official 2.1 thread. Basicaly time in the field, (out of settlement) and # of battles are your best bets.
New Promotions for Heraldic Rank System
Promotions to the next rank can now come through three means (vs. just one in DLV1.9): Campaign Experience (time in the saddle), Heroic Victory (%chance), Command Experience (more battles where led, higher % chance of promotion). Here's a screenie that gives the full description of the Heraldic Rank System in DLV2.0:

Drats, I nvr even looked at it. Damn, srry bout that. I was trying to help and looking at about three other forums/sites at once plus downloading two other things. I know that for me I just jumped into the campaign and figured most of it out on my own. I recalled seeing the thumbnail of that FUBAR on the sticky threads and thought it might have been useful... FUBAR.
The fastest, easiest way to do it is to win some heroic victories. I've gotten one of my generals two promotions with one heroic victory before.
Other than that, win a lot of battles or campaign for a long time. Keep in mind that campaigning in unhostile lands only counts for half time.
"I am what the Gods have made me!"
I feel like I'm doing those things which is the wierd thing. I'll see what happens tonight. Thanks
