    Default About alienware, ageia physic

sould I buy an Alienware Aera-51 7500, cause I don,t have enough money for the ALX edition and is the ageia physic working for all kind of games or only the shooting ones. Would it work with a game like Medieval2 total war, and battlefield 2 or only the recent ones. thanks !

First alienware are a major rip off, you could build a comp thats equel if not better for half the price.
And Ageia PhysX cards only work with games using the ageia Physx engine which is....um only one game worth mentioning, ghost recon advanced warfighter and it acctually dosent' make any real improvements over performance or effects. It is a huge waste of money.

Build your own. There are many benefits to building your own aside from saving hundreds in cash. An identical system to their A-51 7500 can be built for a couple hundred less, with better components, more memory and will be an all around better system.

Save some money, learn something new. Read the guides here and elsewhere if needed. And if you get stuck ask.

I just cringed every time someone wants to buy a pre-built drastically overpriced PC. The only thing AW offers is a cutting edge look (if your into that). Everything else comes down to components.

Tell us your maximum budget, whether you need the commonly transferable components like monitor, keyboard, mouse and OS.

Actually AW build really, really good systems with top-notch components, the only thing is that the price you pay is completely absurd and just isn't worth it when you could custom build to the same spec for roughly half the price.

If you don't feel up to the task of building you own, you can also go to www.abs.com or www.buyxg.com to configure a computer for you. MUCH less than what alienware charges (which is quite an exuberant amount).
