    Default Disinherited Trait

    Me again.

Just a suggestion: One thing fans of EB really liked was the fact that they had disabled the "Disinherited Trait" feature. Sometimes (let's face it, often times) the AI will appoint a less than appropriate heir for you after your faction leader dies. It sucks to have to lessen his traits after you appoint the person you had in mind. I wish you could 'set' two levels of heir in the game. But alas, you can't. Also, on the same note: sometimes I set a temperary heir (like a brother of the Faction Leader) while I wait for the real heir to come of age (since we can't have younger heirs...even though that was quite common during this time period.)

Anyway, just a suggestion from a reenvigorated CTW fan. Bag the "Disinherited Trait".

(Is there a simple way for me (a somewhat abled modder) to do it myself by changing a file?)

... the AI doesn't set an heir for you. The engine does this, and depends on the family-character with the most influence. But generally, to keep the royal blood track, i realised the royal and non-royal house member, with this, the chance is good that direct sons can get the heir-property, or, just the player decides to change the royal family blood line.

I would investigate a bit deeper the possible role-play if i would be you, it is good as it is now in my view, and i don't see why the player should have a special advantage in this regard compared to the AI, as the exclusion of the disinheritate-trait would be a human-player bonus, the AI doesn't set another heir, and a bit human-player penalty is always good

I wasn't thinking of it from an AI stand-point. So I can accept your logic on this aswell as the other issues I've raised the past couple days.

Thanks again for the timely response, DaVinci.
