Ipod crashed?!!

i just downloaded two songs, then added to my ipod, when i try to listen to it, the ipod stop, it just stand still, i try turning it off, but it didn't work, so i conncted my ipod to the computer, to see if i can fix the problem, a message came up saying i have a corrupted ipod, and i need to restore, i try to restore but it say can't find source, i was really sleepy, since it was like 1 in the morning, so i went to sleep, this morning i woke up, turn on the computer, and connected my ipod, everything was fine, i was so

but i wanna ask, is this normal? and do i need to restore my ipod???

IDK my friend syncd his IPOD with my Macbook and nothing like that ever happened. My shuffle never did that either.

Try resetting it

1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

last night, i did that like hundred times, but it didn't work, the ipod screen just frozen
