To those who have the 1.2 patch leaked version, has anyone tried adding LTC and have it work?
I'm downloading the patch that everyone says its working as its supposed.
I'll try LTC with it as soon as it's downloaded.
In 1 - 2 hrs
EDIT: DLV mod seems to work fine they say. But it's possible that LTC needs some work to run it, let's see...

LTC should work fine, but i would delete the following files from the LTC directory as they seem to be no longer needed based on peoples reports on the leaked 1.2 patch:
config_battle_ai.xml
battle_config.xml
descr_formations.txt
descr_formations_ai.txt
descr_pathfinding.txt
descr_campaign_ai_db.xml
descr_diplomacy.xml
descr_faction_standing.txt

The export_descr unit file is going to need tweaking to take advantage of the patch. But I'm sure you're already on that.
Yeah that's what im going to be focusing on once i get the leaked patch(stupid slow download speeds).

I would not delete the campaign AI files from GrandViz. I think even with the missing of some of the new parameters they are still superior

Because their missing the new parameters is one of the reasons im advising people to delete them, plus i find the UAI mod to be too passive. The diplomacy and campaign ai in 1.2 might be perfect for what im looking for in LTC.

Probably you are right. People need although to use the new diplomacy settings in the descr_strat file (copy over from the data folder to the mod data folder), they are quite different.

That is what I'm wondering too...The export_descr unit file is going to need tweaking to take advantage of the patch. But I'm sure you're already on that.
Probably they have tweaked the EDU file.

Sorry to bother you with this, but you're the man who probably knows that:
When I've installed the patch and want to get the "new" EDU file, do I have to unpack all files again??

Yeah you will need to unpack again as its the files in the pack folder that are updated by the patch, not those you've unpacked.

I imagine that you would wait until the "real" patch arrive, before you continue to work on the new version of your mod, or are you workink at it as we speak
Faust + 1.2 + LTC
I understand Faust will be overhauled for 1.2. Since 1.2 fixes things like shield and 2H bugs, which meant you had to rebalance unit stats for LTC, does that mean the unit stats for LTC 2.2 will be much closer - or the same - as 1.2 vanilla, and therefore the new version of Faust will be useful for LTC 2.2?
I know you won't know for sure yet Lusted, I just wanted to sound it out as a query.

I will be trying to release 2.2 as soon as possible for those who have the leaked patch, and so it will be out early before the official 1.2 release.
Im not sure how much rebalancing will be needed of the 1.2 unit stats yet.

So the next version of the mod will be compatible with both patches, or are the different betwen the 2 patches to large.
I mean there got to be a different betwen the leaked patch and the official patch, just want to now if the next version of the mod, is only gonna be compatible with the official patch
That will require a major edit to unit stats, it is not easily reversible.Lusted, The shield bug workaround is still in your mod. What files Do I need to delete to make it disappear, assuming its fixed in 1.2?

I doubt there will be a difference between the unofficial and official patches in terms of fixes as the problem that caused SEGA to pull the patch at the last moment appears to be casued by the installer.
And after 1.2 is out, LTC will be for 1.2 only, it is frankly pointless making mods for 1.1 anymore as 1.2 is such an improvement.
