Any model viewing, or posing programs?

I'd like to do some artistic photography work with photo-shop editing on units in a mod for RTW.. But I don't want to have to download the 600 MB 3DS Max Trial, or buy it on CD when I have no plans on actually doing any graphical modelling. I only want to be able to view the files, and at most, pose them. Anything like that out there? Would be highly appreciated.

You can only open the unit models in 3d max and then add the texture which is a seperate TGA file, then you have to add the animation, unless you want to pose by hand. So no what your looking for is pretty much impossible without 3d max. Sorry.

Oh you could do this with MTW2 units via the same process, they are only editable with Milkshape which is a much cheaper program......

Or you could try Gmax which is a cheaper program. And i think you can get it for free.

Gmax is free, see DL link but to my knowledge won't load textures or export models and its only relevant to RTW. (if you can make it load and render textures a tutorial would be very much appreciated! ) Milkshape is usable for M2TW only as that is only sort of models extractor is available for.

Oh yeh, opps i didn't even look. and yeh you can import into Gmax, though not much point if you can't view textures.
