Is anyone here a Life on Mars fan? If you have never heard of it I shall supply a few clips for you to peruse. Personally it is the best program I have seen in a long time and I believe that (like the Office) it will be Americanised very soon too. Although again the original will always be the best:brit: As a brief intro to it for you Sam Tyler is cop who has an accident and wakes up in 1973 and the action begins. Great cars, Great music and not so great clothes-Enjoy.

DCI Gene Hunt = Greatest TV character ever? I think so

The last episode is on next Tuesday. He hasn't woken up yet but there are signs he might.

Great show by the way. The American version will suck.

I think it is a fantastic show, it reminds me of growing up in the 70's when everything seemed a lot simpler. You've got to love Gene Hunt, the DCI, he's a bastard but he gets the job done. Real coppers!

The story seems interesting but the accent somehow makes my stomach turns. No offence for Brits here by the way.

Yes it is a Bowie song (and a damn fine song) but I doubt it was named after the song. It is more to do with the alien environment Sam Tyler finds himself in. I just found this site for those who are fans of Huntisms!

I love the camblewick green dream that Sam had 'is it that Gene Hunt? Is he beating a nonce again?'

I reckon it is perhaps a combination of the two. Is he in a coma or has he actually traveled in time? I can't wait for Tuesday but I don't want it to end

series 1 was better, but 2 is still great.

there is the 3rd option that last week's episode set up - that he is in the right time and was sent up from London undercover to get Gene Hunt arrested - and the accident he had has given him amnesia

He keeps getting communication from doctors or someone? Remember the episode where they overdosed him and was ill because of it? I reckon he is in a coma.

or he could just be ill from the overdose, and the voices could just be the injuries

though he knows too much about the future for that to really fit........

could be a dream like Dallas!

(and there are now hundreds of confused people on this board (well dozens) wondering what the hell hoops are)
