Oh, and don't forget the U.S and Canada- big immigrant populations from all around the world are bound to contain quite a few Muslims.

Well, only those who when the word muslim or Islam were mentioned to them in their mind they see an Arab wearing turban or a woman covered from head to toe in black.

That majority you speak of consists of scared people, most rednecks, & uneducated people. I'm a redneck & a christian but I'm also a historian, I'm not afraid to say that I've read the Koran, the Torah, & the Bible to expand my knowledge of all three religions since they are related in so many ways. I know that all the Muslims that live in my town don't look like anyone in those pictures, they look like average Joes to me.

Very good sir, may I also point out, (many of you may know), That although Iran is in the middle east, and is a theocracy of the Islamic faith, that they are NOT in fact Arabs. Which is why Arabic is not their national language. It is no surprise that only 20 percent is situated in the Middle East, as parts of China are adopting the Muslim faith on a staggering level. pakistan also contributes to much of the far east muslim numbers.

Nah...that seems old fashioned and conservative to me, even in the strictest muslim theocracy the youth adopt progressive styles of dress, often described as "western", even though I dont think thats really a fair description of the style. It should rather be called progressive, liberal, comfortable and less confining dress. Contemporary as opposed to traditional. Nothing wrong with that.

Since hes on this site I imagine he is a youth, so he wouldnt adopt the beard and the conservative dress as the older people might.

The black Jews consider themselves to be hereditary jews who were one of the tribes who migrated away from israel long ago, back when jews wandered the Earth without a true home. That particular pic is of a ugandan jew. But blacks jews exist in ethiopia, uganda, morocco, algeria, Egypt...everywhere from the north of Africa to the very southern tip...

edit: Back in the 1970's, with much controversy, the tribe of jews from Ethiopia were admitted into Israel by the "true" semetic jews.
