    Default Noob questions on phalanx

    Hi there !! Let me just start by saying... OMG !!! THIS MOD ROCKS!!!! MY LIFE HAS MEANING !!!!!

    ugh... anyway, what i was going to ask is: I really miss the phalanx formation for Sparta and Athens. I've noticed that Lydia on the other hand has phalanx troops. Was the phalanx ability scarped because of its historical inaccuracy?

    well the hoplite phalanx that sparta and athens use is the correct one. The Lydian hoplites had a problem with their secondary weapons and ended up using the vannila phalanx.

    The vannila phalanx is an attempted copy of the macedonian pike phalanx which is innacurate for our time period as it had'nt been invented yet.

    The hoplite phalanx we are using is the most accurate for the period.
