This is where a few PPL took the time to show me how to do the screenies yesterday. I chose one of their methods and went with it.

Here's the way I did it:

I downloaded the "Irfanview" application. I got this from my favorite techy-download site...

    http://www.majorgeeks.com

Only took a few minutes to download and install, after this I also got the Irfanview plugins, too. Now the only problem is that this is a new program for me and I still don't know much I can do with it, yet. But it will do screenies, K?

During the game you hit the "print screen" key, and you will notice a slight pulse on the screen. The screenie has been taken. Take as many as you want, then exit MTW2 and open Irfanview. From here you will need to open the files with the images taken. They are located in---C:/programfiles/sega/M2TW/TGAS

Thats right, the images are TGA files. This is why you need a program such as Irfanview, to do a "batch conversion" and make them forum friendly. You need to change them to a JPEG file.

    Irfanview instructions;

    1: run/ irfanview
2: Open a file (In the TGAS folder)-- note, I don't believe this folder exists until you have taken some screenshots
3: Go to; File/Batch Conversion rename
4: Pick a file (note: you can choose more than one at a time, its quicker this way) from the right drop box and double-click it, a preview of it should appear in the lower-left of the screen and it should also appear in the upper left box, the BIG one; it says "input files"
5: On the middle-right of screen it says---- Output directory; this is where the NEW file will be placed after conversion, you need to choose a locations for your JPEG images to be stored.
6: On the lower right of screen, near bottom it says---- Output Format, choose JPG- JPEG
7: also on lower right of screen it says---- name pattern; this is how it will rename the file. I used this M2TW####
8: Now, finally, click "start" in the upper left box, it says--- "input files" this should have made a new file in the folder you specified it to go to, only now it's a JPEG

After you do this you need to go to a website such as----

    http://www.imageshack.us/

And upload your images here, the JPEG ones.
After they are uploaded your need to click on "get code for forums" after you have selected an image.
Copy this code from the box and paste it in the forum's.

    You're done!

Hope this was helpful, do me a favor and send me a link to the first screenie that you post, K?

    ltr,

The .tga files are also accessible via Photoshop, which allows for nifty editing.

Good guide, although I think it might be better in the MII section since screen-taking isnt limited to just DLV.

btw, I dont know if this forum works the same as others, but on other forums i've been on, you need the [img] tag at the start of and [/img] at the end of the link that imageshack gives you.

    as for 1st screenies....

I dunno, I always wanted to show this off:
