    Neither - get an ATi-card. 1650 or 1950.
As a rule of thumb, buy the best (and usually most expensive) card you can afford. The rate which graphicscards get 'outdated' is just accelerating so unless you want to have to get a new one in 6 months - just get the best you can afford, now.

    A few things:

    1) How much are you willing to spend?
    2) Your other specs: CPU, RAM, Motherboard (PCI-E or AGP)
    3) Most important in my opinion: PSU, how much power? 350watts, 400watts, etc?

Frankly, you're better off picking a card with GDDR3, not GDDR2. Longer life that way. Overall, the 7300 would be a better choice.

I agree on this. You need to have enough juice to power the card. Make sure your Powersupply can handle it - or replace it with a good one. A few examples of good PSU's are:

    SinTek 650XFIRE
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610
    SinTek 600XPS
    HiPro HP-P600W / Topwer TOP-600P5
    Enermax Galaxy 850W
    SinTek 700XFIRE
    Mushkin XP-650
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750
    Seasonic SS-750JS
    Enermax Liberty 620W

That's what I have and it is definitely pricey, but I'll have it for a long time and I have no worries about power in my rig. Of course, I just built the damn thing, so I'm just wasting forum space saying this.

if u choose out of the three, the 6600GT would be the best choice. However to get a 6600GT would be a waste since there are many card better than it. if u don't want to spend too much then a 7900GS is decent enough, not low end but better then most mid range offerings and not so expensive its high end. Go a little higher and u have an 1950 range and 7900GT. but mostly depends on your overall hardware. Tell us your specs and what you are running eg. Agp/Pci-E

ATI 1650 would be better than the 1950 with it's uber-power requirements. But again, we have no idea what you're capable of running.

    PCI-e
    512 ram
    2.6/256 celeron intel
    msi motherboard 915 combo
    HD 80 sata
    pwer supply 450 w

You might benefit from another 512mb (at least). Also, I ran 1950AGP on 450W for a while without problems, had to replace the PSU for a 700W one after I added 2 more HD's though =)

The best card for the price is 8800GTS i bought it for 259.00, it will last you for loooong time, but if you want to buy a cheaper one, i would go with 7800GT, if you go lower than that, you will have to upgrade really soo.

if ur interested in 8800GTS, goto newegg and search 8800
