Ok, well first things first, I dont know who my real dad was/is. I'm a bastard (in every sense of the word).

Basically I've been hearing from ALOT of people that I look very strikingly Russian. And by alot I mean like everyone. Now one of my pics , I'am wearing a Soviet hat in Alaska, but not the point.

I've provided several pictures here for you all to see me in my shining glory, and I ask (especially real Russians) if I have any of the Motherland in me?

Of course anyone else can chime in with what they think I'am.

First of all you can have your 'ethnicity' checked via a blood test. I haven't a clue as to how expensive it is, though.

Secondly, I don't think you are a bastard in every sense of the word - not from what I've read. In terms of your parents not being born in wedlock - so, what? That's beyond your control and you seem fit and healthy enough - it appears that your adoptive parents (who chose to have you, it wasn't some unexpected event) have done a good job!

Thirdly, I have no idea. Coming from Britain (and we are a mongrel race (as it were) in many ways) I can honestly say you are good looking and what your ancestral roots are is of interest only (family history is often interesting). It's what you make of your life that counts!

Theres no way to tell.... But you know you can always immerse yourself in Russian culture, learn Russian, maybe even have some Russian nationalism and then calim to be Russian.

people are going to be looking for all the little bits that make you russian now... myself included. better to have posted your pic, and asked people what ethnic group you were, and see how many said slavic/caucasian compared to germanic caucasian or whatever other caucasian sub group...

I'm Russian... but you don't look anything like me... neither do I resemble a lot of other Russians... so, I don't know.


Though your eyes and hair (not necessarily hair style, just hair) do remind me of some Russian youth that I see whenever I go back there.

His eyes and hair reminds you of a russian because theyre both light, which is a stereotype. But yknow what, its a stereotype of germans and swedes too, so it doesnt mean much. Especially considering how many russians DONT fit the fair hair/fair eyes stereotype. Like me for instance.

I don't think there really is a way for normal people to tell what nationality you are just by looking at you. If they were an anthropologist maybe they could analyze your cranial and nasal structure to narrow it down but most possess no such skills.
