I started adding the Serbians. So far, I have completed the CoA, faction logos, and faction banners.
I will begin working on units, etc over the weekend. If any of you want to influence what they look like in the end, now is the time.
I will post a preview once I have added enough units.

Wow, looks great. That campaign map screenie made me very happy.![]()
I am finished with with the Serbs, and I have to say, they are alot of fun to play.
In my first campaign I did a blitzkreig to capture Durazzo and Arta before the Byz and Naples, and the Byzantines attacked Belgrade and Skopia in the next turn. I was forced to accept vassalage, and they gave be Sofia.
Then I threw off the oppressor a few turns later, and now have a pretty powerful empire. I think they will be a favorite faction for many.

Maybe you should consider PM DukeofSerbia, he was historical researcher for MTWR.He might help you with names of some of Serbian troops of that time and give you referance to what kind of equipment and armor they were wearing.
Fighting with the Wisdom, the Bosnian Kingdom
It would be nice to get a completed set of names.
Here is part of the unit roster: (from memory)
Veliki Vlastela (Greater Noble Cavalry - lance, lamellar armor)
Dismounted Veliki Vlastela (spear, lamellar armor)
Mala Vlastela (Lesser Noble cavalry - bow, lamellar armor)
Dismounted Mala Vlastela (bow, lamellar armor)
Krajisnici - Light Infantry, maybe a Militia unit
Serbian Knights (Western Style knights)
Hussars
Bosnian Archers
Croat Axemen
Plus the regular generic Eastern European units.
I am thinking of adding Serbian Voynuks (same as Byzantine Infantry), but haven't decided yet.

Are you sure that you've got Belgrade in the right place? Wasn't it more to the North East? I'll see if I can find a map of it.
Right, here's one (it's from the 19th century, but Belgrade didn't move anywhere in the intervening time):

i would suggest that you change the serb faction symbol to something other than what it is........its historically accurate and all, but is just too similar to the byzantine double headed eagle..............i havent found a replacementso i guess we have no choice

i cant belive this. we had more than one discussion like this on twc. guess some people will never learn.
there are no proofs that kotromanics were serbs. so please drop that. and this is unimportant for this mod and offtopic because they were not in "tsardom of serbia" (as you know bosnia is different state) so they are not represented here.
Tvrtko Kotromanic was crowned as 'the King of SERBS, Bosnia, the Seacoast and Western Parts" on the grave of St. Sava in the Mileseva. In order to emphasize the relationship of the Nemanjic (Serb in Rascia, the first Serbian state within the borders of modern Serbia) and Kotromanic (Bosnian Serb) dynasties , Tvrtko puts before his own name, the title Stefan, which indicates that he is crowned. In this letter the name Stefan is mentioned often (see for example the last word in the first sentence), just as it is also emphasized in the letter the concept of "Serbian land" or "Serbs" (Srbljem) as one ethnic categorization. For example, in the fifth line, Tvrtko clearly indicates the roots of his 'parents of Serb nobility". Also, at the end of the letter, on the right side in big letters there is emphasized the title "King of the Serbs.
For a source, see the letters of the medieval rulers which are microfilmed in their original and are kept in the Dubrovnik archives. Also see the letters of the Bosnian ban (viceroy) Ninoslav.
