I just saw the first few episodes on BBC America. I must say I'm fairly impressed. The dialogue has just enough wit to keep my interest, and the action is bloodless (TV14 rating here in the US) but still somewhat exciting.
American series have the irritating tendency to spare children. No matter what happens, you know that the kid will survive unscathed. It really takes away from the suspense. Not so in Robin Hood. I was thinking, "Whoa, that kid really got shot in the back with an arrow? Wow, he's dead. Heh, audiences would FREAK if this was a US series."
Anybody else watch it?
