Tech question on videocard
Hey all,
I've seen some replies from guys in here who seem to know a lot about technical stuff, so I thought that I would see if any of you could offer me some advice.
I'm considering buying a new videocard, seing as how I'm currently playing with graphics settings in the "middle of the range", in order to have a fluent game in larger battles.
My current videocard is a RADEON x700 SE (x700/x550), 512 MB RAM
From what I can tell (via Control Panel -> System ...) it is located in a PCI slot, but I'm not sure if it's an old PCI type or the PCI Express (which I suppose I need to know when buying a bew videocard).
So my question is this:
What can I do in order to make sure what type of videocard (AGP, PCI or PCI Express) I can put in the pc?
By the way, my pc is "fairly new" without being top of the line (in case that means anything):
AMD 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+, 2.2 GHz with 2GB RAM.

Re: Tech question on videocard
if your computer is fairly new then i would be quiet sure that the x700 is pci-express and i dont think there were any pci x700s made

Arakorn, nice little tool there.
Rayzzz, seems you were right about the PCI Express.
Thank you both for your help.
