    Default things i've noticed...

    - greece needs serious help against macedon. i know you said both factions would be better balanced with more expensive units in 6.3, but will this also address the problem of greece getting pounded by macedon? in order for me to preserve them so that i might have the pleasure of killing some spartans later on, i had to "cheat" and use the romeshell (~) and do the create_unit command to help "garrison" the greek cities from macedon's constant 3-to-4-full-stack (!) sieges

    - no port for arabia (egypt/ptolemy) and budini (the northwestern aral sea province owned by armenia)

    - btw, has anyone else felt that armenia also starts out just a bit too powerful?

    - scythia's provinces rebel too often. they're constantly having to recapture their cities, in addition to fighting off a juggernaut germania.

    - the navigator ancillary trigger is unfixed. it needs to be " <= 10 " in order to work at all. i remember this fix from a thread at the org. IIRC, player1 includes that fix. (correct me if i'm wrong)

    - what's the purpose of the "poisoner" ancillary? the ancillary seems to be for agents only (since the bonus is for the "subterfuge" attribute), but the trigger requires the paranoia and deceivervirtue traits, which are familymember-only.

    - are there supposed to be pirate fleets spawning all over the place in the unreacheable "mini-lakes" throughout the map?

    - if playing w 4TPY, the age trait thresholds need to be doubled or else you'll get "middle aged" 27-year-olds.

Thanks those are good ideas and great feedback. If more reported things like this they would be fixed already. Problem with Threshhold is if I double it the players that play without the script would have issues. ;-)

One thing I notice is in every game I play, the seleucids get wiped out, by the pontus, greeks and armenians I think. I have never gotten to fight them.

Can the greeks only recruit spartan hoplites on sparta? If so then they definitely need to be able to hold their ground against macedon. Whenever I invade greece, the macedonians have it all and the greeks are pushed into turkey and they are fighting their way down to egypt or something.

Hard to control who gets whipped out, I have tried many things but Macedon still turns on Greece most of the time. I'll see what I can do as I like to fight the greeks also, but to be honest they seem to focus on the east. I cant make them do something.

yeah the greeks do get pushed out of greece all the time, but it's not so bad since you still get to fight them in asia minor, the levant, and egypt (at least they expand a lot)

rep me if you like my posts, and it's highly likely you'll get some back

Perhaps nothing really needs to be done then, we can just let macedon control the balkans and let greece control asia minor. Maybe you could set the relationship between macedon and greece a bit higher so they dont fight as quickly.

yeah, poor seleucids never have a chance. i guess you don't miss much though. you get to fight similar troop types elsewhere.

Lt, will there be new unit cards for the legionaries that have their legion number on them in 6.3? It will be a HUGE help for keeping legions organised so you dont have to mouse over them all to see what legion it is. I could edit the numbers into the TGAs if you don't want to do it.

In 6.3 beta testing, all legionaries have their legion number printed on their unit cards and the city names also have the legion number displayed We are able to recruit legionaries only in their city of birth

    Perfect!!

This will make everything easier in many ways. I always wanted to be able to split a legion up say to garrison my cities in a region, but if I split the men up I will lose track of what legion they belong to and such.

Well I hope I fixed the navigator issue.

On the other stuff. Not much I can do about Pirates, they can spawn in ANY waters. CA didnt think of that one. sheesh

As for Macedon, that is Hard. I have redone the Diplomatic stuff, that should HELP, but each game is different, sometimes in tests macedon leaves them alone, those times I wished I was playing instead of the AI. lol Other times they wipe them out. The AI stinks in RTW always has and so does MTW2.

I give the Greeks MANY spartan units at the start, and the Elite hoplites are almost a match for the Royal Pikemen, its just that the AI again stinks at fighting. Scythian rebellion is their problem, They OWN those Provinces so they should have 0 cultral Penalty. It could be the AI is not building enough buildings to increase happiness due to the distance changes in the map, I think ALL large maps have issues with Rebellions because of distance penalties.

No ports, must have been from the Map maker, I am not sure if its a BUG or if there is a reason, I know several map guys and some wierd glitches that can happen, they may have been left out for a reason. I can check but I doubt there will be a change for SPQR for those 2 provinces.

I suggest if you wish to see why Armenia does this or that and as with the rest of the AI play a campaign with the -ai switch and let the AI fight it out, you will see you can do several games and sometimes Armenia will be there and sometimes they will be destroyed, it really all depends what happens in YOUR campaign, its RANDOM unfortunatly.

how is the -ai switch employed? how is it different from the "follow ai movement" in the game options menu?

as for those ports, yea, i tested it out by adding the white dot in the tga file, and now those provinces can have ports. so either it was an oversight or intentional, but it's not a "bug" per se.

Type -ai in the target box of your shortcut to SPQR I think, and it will let the AI play the campaign entirely. To see what happens. AFAIK the script wont work though cause you have to manualy start it.
