Default Image-loading CTD on family tree

Yo. The version of M2TW I'm playing is a pretty custom-built one at the moment:

    Updated to v1.1
    Anno Domini 0.91
Orientiss' Vices and Virtues Fix v1.1
Titles, Bishops, Princesses, Privy Council v1.5 (spliced in manually with Orientiss, never had function problems in this game, which has been about 180 turns)
    Shaba Wangy's Diplomacy Mod
Burrek's Unique Europeans, Early Period v0.3
HorseArcher's Sky and Blood Mod v(something)
    Zxiang's fixed animations

I don't expect anyone to know the combined effects of these mods. What's also relevant is that Titles, Bishops etc. (the precursor, I believe, to Blood, Broads and Bastards) mod comes with new pictures of a lot of things, including family members.

I've been getting unexplained CTDs when my turn has come around again for a while now. They've been wholly random; I'd restart and it'd happen again, I'd restart again and it wouldn't. That I think might have something to do with having been run in a window, but it also might have been the Rebels, in their turn, attempting to perform an event which caused a crash. I'm not sure. That's not my worry, because I don't mind restarting the game, even frequently. My worry is this:

Whenever I try to view my family tree I get an immediate CTD with "unspecified error".

Here's the last four things the game did as it crashed (it might be an idea to copy-paste them into Notepad so they don't wrap around quite so badly):

00:21:15.062 [system.rpt] [error] Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit.

I've checked 117.tga; it's normal. I've replaced it with another of the pictures, one which I know works. It's normal. The same error occurs regardless, and everything there but the timestamps is the same. I don't get to see the family tree; the crash occurs before it will load.

Recently a Danish princess fell into the clutches of one of my generals. It may be her picture which is causing the problem, I don't know. I know that 117, which, if the game loads these pictures in sequence, should presumably be her husband, is not her husband's picture. I have also switched control to the Danish once and looked at their family tree in an old savegame; her picture was there and there was no crash.

I am concerned that a child may have been born who is responsible. This crash first happened in the winter of 1159 when I tried to look at the family tree before I checked all the start-of-turn family announcements. If it's crashing trying to load the picture of a child, why has it not previously crashed on the same occasion, since all children (and there were both male and female on the tree prior to this) have the same picture?

Anyone who has any suggestions would be most welcome, and would surely get cookies. Or would an invitation to a teddy-bears' tea party be more appropriate, today of all days?

but still the dark stain spreads between their shoulder-blades
a mute reminder of the poppy-fields and graves
and when the fight was over
we spent what they had made
but in the bottom of our hearts we felt the final cut
