Battle = Crash
This is a problem that has been growing. Campaign map plays fine, but when I go to a Battle I have a 50/50 chance of successfully playing the battle.
During the battle at some point the game will crash with "unexpected error" and it will close. Seems to happen more when there is a settlement involved..
Also once the game crashes, the music continues to play till I ctrl alt del and then kill the application from Task Manager.
I have reinstalled the game, tried playing with the patch, without the patch. Using a NO CD crack, playing with the disc in the drive.
I have upgraded all my drivers, even tried older drivers.
It seemed at first that downgraded to an older video driver fixed the problem, but it returned a few days later.
I am at a loss here, I love the game, but this grows old quickly. All my other games run fine, its just this one..
Specs:
AMD64 X2 3800
2GB DDR400
250GB SATA Hard Drives
Nvidia 6600GT 128MB
NForce 4 Motherboard
I am using the Nforce 4 audio in 5.1
Vista Ultimate Edition X64 (recently upgraded, problem existed in XP 32bit as well)
Any help is more than appreciated!!

Re: Battle = Crash
I should add that I was using Windows XP with I tried using older drivers..
I dont have many options when it comes to Vista...
I was hoping when I upgraded to Vista last week that maybe this problem would not follow me, but it has.

Re: Battle = Crash
If you have used the unpacker, delete the: data\descr_geography_new.txt
data\descr_geography_new.db files. Fixed the same problem.

Thanks for replying.

I don't know then, but I've heard about a lot of weird stuff happening with this game. Sorry

No problem, I appreciate the reply anyway! Maybe the next patch will solve lots of issues!
