Real Problem Here!

Hey people I am in serious need of assistance. I just bought Medieval 2 (so excited, or was...) and when i started playing the battle screen was just totally distorted with units resembling spiky balls and scenery a big mass of pixels! I've tried reinstalling my driver for my WinFast PX6600 LE graphics card and fiddling with the game quality but nothing seems to work. I still get a mass of crazy shapes and stuff that completely obscures the battlefield. Does anyone know how to fix this? Is there some sort of program I need?

You could tell your PC specs, just in case. And what drivers are you using with your 6600 LE? Make sure you have the latest drivers. You could try using Driver cleaner to remove the old drivers properly.
Also update your game with the latest patch.

You are using normal Windows XP (not 64-bit), right?

Memory: 1024 GB RAM

Graphics Card: WinFast PX6600 LE 256MB
Sound: Realtek AC97 Audio

As far as I'm aware I am using the regular XP. And I have M2TW updated to v1.1. I'll try downloading the forceware release 90 and using this driver cleaner. Will report back if it works (sure hope it does).

No the problem is still there. It seems to be something with the unit and flag models. The terrain distortion was fixed though.

Actually, try using this driver. It's supposed to be the latest - released 31 march.

Nope sorry man. Its still screwed up. the campaign map is completely gone, its just a big thing of grass coloured lines heading diagonally up to the right hand top corner of the screen. It sure isn't the disk, its brand new and i had the same trouble with the demo.
