    Default Sky mod?

Love everything about this mod, except the sky mod. Quite simply can I go back to the vanilla sky texture somehow?

If so, how would I go about doing it?

Oh, also, I'm playing a Spanish campaign and Ive noticed that in the upper left hand side of the continent above Lisbon there is rebel territory, but no settlement.

    Whats the deal with that?

Its there just in a sneaky spot. If you start at the river to the east of Leon, follow it south until it meets with another river flowing east to west. Follow that river west to the atlantic and you will find the rebel settlement of Oporto on the north bank of the river right on the coast.

Yeah I actually saw it when I noticed that Portugal had taken the region. So I searched again and the fact they had produced roads helped.

Ive actually come to like the sky mod. I cant really remember what they look like in the vanilla game anyhow.

Yes i think the sky in this mod s***s, sorry but this is my opinion, every thing else is great,,i have asked this question in another thread but no one seems to answer. what folder will it be in, ????
I think it is in this Folder.
    C:\Program Files\SEGA\New Folder\DLV_ext\data\globallighting
I am going to copy the vinilla "Global lighting" in to this folder above see if it works i will let you know johnson if it works.

i have just tried this, (swapping the global lighting folder from Vinilla) with the one in DVL_ext.
when it asked "do you want to replace, or over write" Click yes! it worked for me
now i have vinilla sky. now i love this mod.

I hate the sky mod as well, playing at 2560x1600, the skymod textures are totally blocky and unrealstic. But, I don't have a global lightning folder in vanilla, what's going on?

You must have look this is the path you need to follow too find it.
    C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data\globallighting
when you find the folder called "globallighting"copy and paste it in to the
    C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\DLV_ext\data
it is in the data folder. dvl has its own folder, so you need to copt it in too there

Ok i think i know why, i had asumed that you had unpacked all the folders and files. this is easy.
This is what you need to do.

Well, the first step of setting up your game will always be unpacking the data files, no matter if you want to use mod folders or io.file_first.
To do this, you have to have patch 1.1 installed. If you do, you should be able to find a directory called "tools" inside your MTW2 directory, and inside that, you will find a folder named "unpacker".
To unpack all the game's data files, simply run unpack_all.bat - this will take a while, so be warned. After the program's finished, open your data directory (inside your MTW2 directory) and delete or rename descr_geography_new.db and descr_geography_new.txt (this is important - if you don't do it, your game won't run)

Then when you have done this you will have all the folders and files in the same way as RTW. was..

Isn't it easier to just remove the textures from the dlv data folder. then the game goes back to the default ones.

seams to have worked for me.
