i need lots of help

I bought a game, starwars knights of the old republic. my computer meets teh minimum requirement in the processor at 1ghz, and is above the reccomended in ram and graphics card. when i go to play the game it says my processor does not meet the minimum requirement and that it is 999mhz not 1 ghz. some1 said i should overclock my processor, how?

But does the game work? 1MHz difference isn't much, really, if the game works.
Semprons aren't that good overclockers anyway, here's a guide that should tell you something.

ide say no it wont matter except for the window that pops up when i press play that says my cpu is not enough to play. and i only need it to go to 1.1 to 1.2 ghz, that oughtta work enough, nothing major

Just to get rid of the pop-up then, go to your BIOS like this and raise the FSB by 1 or 2 like this.
Depends on your motherboard really, but you should be able to find them.

If you want to overclock further, like 1.1 or 1.2 GHz, it's bit more complicated, and you'll possibly have to adjust memory frequencies and some multipliers..

Must warn you though, be careful. It might get bit tricky sometimes.

yea i know, i tried doing it off the site posted earlier, i had to remove my bios battery to get it to work again. but its saying my processor is 999mhz, so i really only need maybe 5-10 mhz more

Read the guide that's already been posted, just up the FSB by 2 or 3 mhz it will be fine.

You mean you can't increase your FSB, not even by 1Mhz?
Because I think that's all you need: 1Mhz. (actually an increase of 0.333333337Mhz should be enough, but 1Mhz is the smallest step available in BIOS).

Alternatively you could try decreasing you FSB and increasing your CPU multiplier to get to a nice round 1.0Ghz.
But this will decrease memory performance so I only recommend it as a last resort.

ok, i got it guys i got it to 1.3mhz and still ddint work so i put the game on my parents 2.3ghz computer, its the graphics card thats makin it not work, they have the same one as me so ill give you all rep!!! thanks again all

Why not try to invest in a new comp, your computer seems very old.
