Perhaps. Are any cities revolting at the time?

Well, this kind of CTD tend to randomly happen in some mods, not only in RTR. A fix was added to RTR in order to avoid CTD when towns revolted to the rebel (or slave) faction, but there is another CTD associated with cities that revolt to other factions that has not been completely solved yet. Most probably this is your case.

Although sometimes this "end of turn CTD" is also produced by the autosave function or corrupted savegames.

So...the best way to proceed is to manually save your campaign every 2-3 turns. Not only for RTR but also for other mods and even vanilla RTW.

The best advice is not to destroy all foreign building (especially auxilia) buildings when you conquer a province.

The CTD mostly happened when a faction rebellion is bound to happen but there's not building for the faction units to be recruited for the event to happen.

This is in theory of course.

Unfortunately, what Quinn Inuit, Salvor Hardin, and AngryTitusPullo (aka LestaT) mention is true. This end of turn CTD is more than likely due to either the city revolt bug that most RTW mods experience, or is a result of either a corrupted autosave file or regular savegame file from a rare Vanilla RTW bug that occurs occasionally. RTRPE v1.8 includes a fix to some of the city revolt bug CTD's, but may not take care of the whole issue.

I'm having the same problem. The illyrians pissed me off so i decided to just send an army to their capital and raze it to the ground. And since theres no option to just completely destroy it, i decided to just massacre the civilians and then destroy every building i could possibly destroy and then just abandon it completely so i dont have to worry about building things and managing the happiness of the ppl there. plus it feels good to do it. unfortunately the next turn always causes the game to ctd

So basically i cant do this at all? I really currently hate that faction and i wish there were some option to just demolish the city and make sure it never comes to power again :hmmm:

Eh, kill everyone, destroy the buildings, and then leave a couple of units there. More cost effective. Then you don't have to worry about the city coming back and you get some money out of it.
