Vanilla MTW VI would consist of...

More money. Which equals more production, more money to recruit/train units.

Better factional distribution. Territory is allocated better.

More units in rebel territories, slightly more units in factional territories.

The Golden Horde is here! That's right, and they are VERY HARD TO DEFEAT.

And pretty much just an enhancement of MTW VI.

Played too many mods in different time periods other than the Medieval? Wish to float back to the Medieval period? Well this is your mod and the mod for YOU.

    #EDIT#

    New version as of 1/28/2008

That civil war you never made it too? Well it's here...

More units with greater experience, weapons lvl, armour lvl from the start, more money to begin with, leaving a much harder campaign.

The Senate! How could we forget them? Well they're there, ready to bark out orders but takes 200 turns to attack.

And just an overall enhancement of Vanilla (original) RTW.

I enjoy this much more than any mod or original vanilla Rome: Total War.

The mod for the player that just didn't play enough of the manufactered RTW, yet, still feels the peer pressure of playing a mod.

C'mon, try a total conversion mod... You'll like it.

Say no to peer pressure: (Except mine )

    Vanilla BI would consist of...

Added the slavs in, despite initial hardship. A little something in modern day Belarus, which are now also a playable faction.

Balanced the ERE's and WRE's starting positions. So it's not easy or not hard to play as them, just perfect.

Barbarian factions are a bit tuned up unit wise.

And basically it is anyone's ball game. I myself just uploaded v. 1.1 ten minutes ago, so I couldn't even tell you who will dominate the map of 363 AD.

    EDIT

updated and added a few files, some I was reluctant to add in.

Faction names have been changed a bit, as well as unit default sizes. Enjoy!

Is F2 the screenie button? But still, there's not much to show. I've just modded a few of the text files, like the descr_strat and changed some unit sizes, but that's about it. My goal and with my limited abilities to mod TW games, was just a really really (hopefully) good vanilla game. But it changes enough to be fun and worth firing up another game to see "the senate has asked you to take this settlement for the glory of the empire" Whatever you might have liked about vanilla boxed version Rome is still here and anything you didn't like I hope I've changed for the better. And I'll leave this thread for any suggestions too. Thanks for the compliment though!!
