I wouldn't be surprised if most of the politicians with their high educations are closeted atheists. Politics and Religion can't be in the same sandwich when making decisions on things.

Hehe guess you havent met many atheist who treat their atheism (ironically enough) almost as religion itself in its steadfast and irrational rejection of anything remotely religious in their presences. I assure you atheist are not without their own idiots and morons but there are less of them because there are less atheist in general.

So what do you think being an atheist makes one immune to being a moron or having an agenda? Im talking atheism in general, as group they are not immune to this same nonsense that runs thru every group religious or not and Im talking about personal experiences with people I know so naming them doesnt exactly help since Im quite sure you dont know any of my friends.....

It would surprise me indeed, a lot of views are made based on religous leanings, indoctrination or belief in religous ideals. The states should be secular but they are not in any sense of the word really.

Cause going to the MIT of highschools makes me a junkie? A drop-out? To be honest, from general public behavior I usually see VERY little of no difference between athiests and the average relgious person. And I have experienced a large variety of different people, having lived in 3 very different parts of the United States.

Athiest does not equal pagan....and you are being insultive by generalising. I'm an Agnositc I suppose, but I was raised under an evangelical household. But basically, I find people of all faiths can be arrogant, just like athiests. Generalisations are dangerous things, especially since I've yet to see one that is true.
