Default My dreams for chiv tw 1.0

    Hi,
First of all Chivalry TW is great
but some things could be changed:

1.I noticed that the generals are heavily overpowered
2.I had the post about the music
I mean it would be nice when someone can add a more orientalic music for the islamic factions
3.I saw that the seljuks are beginning as the great seljuk empire
while in central asia are the rum-seljuks
but their cities have a christian-religion
but like we know seljuks were muslims
and in bagdad is paganism the religion but it were before the seljuks the capital of a islamic kalifat
4.cant someone add more cities especially in the south-east of the map?
    5.There are two campiagns:
the early era and barbarian invasion
what are the difference between these two?
6.some units like the saracen infantry has a too low morale level
    the run fast away

Well, you've got quite a list there...
    1. This has been discussed quite a lot at the SCC, and so will probably not be changed because:
    • the generals bodyguard are the only cavalry that powerful, as they should be
    • it makes for a more challenging experience
    • if you play on higher difficulty levels, if your general dies, the army can rout almost instantaneously
    • also, you have to note that the "starting" generals are more powerful; that is, the generals that exist at the start of the campaign game have upgraded weapons/defense stats...
    • other balance issues

    2. Well, I guess that would depend on whether we find any more music or not...
    3. I can't answer this question in a historical manner, as I do not know the history of that region very well. However, I know that the Seljuks in our campaign do not simply represent one faction, but all of the influential factions that lived there at the time...
    4. Again, I'm not sure of the historical reasons, but the reasons we don't have more cities in different areas might be either:
    • that we already have the max number of cities possible in the RTW engine
    • or that it would unbalance certain regions, as more cities = more economical and military power in that region

    5. Uh, not sure, DaVinci would have to answer this; however, I'm guessing it has to do with the certain abilities of BI that are not shared with RTW... really not sure about that one though...
    6. woot, another toughy... well, you may be right in certain respects, but certain units must have lower morale since they are just levy units, and so would rout much faster when facing professional or experienced troops. Also, how fast they rout would depend on whether or not you and/or your opponent has a general, as having one is a big morale boost, especially on the higher difficulty levels...

Anyways, I hope I have answered some of your questions, at least partially... but I hope someone else from the team follows up on my answers...

2.I had the post about the music
I mean it would be nice when someone can add a more orientalic music for the islamic factions
we have a member thats working on the muslim factions, his name is Ahmose talk to him about this....
3.while in central asia are the rum-seljuks
but their cities have a christian-religion
but like we know seljuks were muslims
and in bagdad is paganism the religion but it were before the seljuks the capital of a islamic kalifat
we all know the turks are muslim, but the rum-seljuks start in control of an area that was very recently under christian Byzantine control, though its true that the official religion should be islam, will Davinci has worked on the religions a bit more and i can assure you that Baghdad will start out muslim and probably also the turkish possesions in asia minor...

4.cant someone add more cities especially in the south-east of the map?
this would make the seljuks or the fatimids way too strong since there would be nothing to chalenge them, im content with the amount of cities in the game, other wise gameplay would be too slow......

    5.There are two campiagns:
the early era and barbarian invasion
what are the difference between these two?
let me try and explain this clearly, ok,
there are actualy 3 campaigns those 2 plus imperial campaign, they are all the same

let say you play on rtw exe,
imperial campiagn would be the main campaign and the other 2 are used on the provincial campaign function. the main campain as you noticed is hidden...
but the imperial campaign folder is still needed for custom battles to function correctly......

like wise if you play Bi exe,
bi campaign being the main one would be hidden, and imperial + early era would show..... but bi campaign is still needed for custom battles on bi exe

i think the reason why the main campaign is hidden is because the script does not function properly in it.......
