    Default The Campaign

First, I would like to begin this post with what I should always say when I address a member of the TTW Team, with thanks and congratulations for such a great mod. You guys did a top notch job, and your mod is my favorite out of the God knows how many TW mods out there.

Now, onto the point. When I looked at this mod, I thought there would be something like the SPQR Senate in RTW (probably the Myceneans under Agamemnon), something to actually make going to Troy a concerted movement for ALL the Greeks. In this way it would be very similar to what it was in RTW.

Instead however, the Greek factions go to war with each other, and by the time all the fighting is done, Greece is under the control of one faction and then goes to Troy. While this does make for some excitement, it sort of kills the role play.

Anyways, just an idea im throwing out. I know jack squat about modding, but I think you could base something off the RTW engine to make that work. Anyways, I'm not expecting this anytime soon, just a little thing for the future. You guys have already worked very hard to get this mod here, and you may proceed to any ordeal at any pace you want.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any, one last thing since I don't want to make another thread for this. Can you compile all the updates you've gotten together and bug fixes that were discussed in the threads (mainly Feedback and Bug threads), and update the current 4.0 with them, releasing another grand version? It's not that im lazy, but Winzip isnt working out for me and it's too much stuff to put in and too high risk of screwing up the game.

    Thank you for your consideration.
    Your forever loyal TTW Gamer,

I'm guessing that the real "role play" game of Troy is probably too hard to work with RTW, but you never know....

However in TTW once you conquer a faction and occupy their capital, you can actually recruit their 'elite' units.

So as Argos, once I owned Sparte, I could build the Spartan Xipherai Herakleous, for Phthia I could build Myrmidoms etc..So you can end up with an army that contains all the "Greek" units outside Troy if you want !

In fact some factions don't even need to capture Troy to win.

Lycia, for example needs to head for Greece and, technically, doesn't need to own anything on the East : same for Aleysha.

Oh! So that was what that was all about. Ok, never mind about that, I guess it gets as realistic to the role play as it could get. Though I still never would have units from every faction because when I pick a faction its because I like it and it alone, but that puts the lid on the can. Thank You

But I would still push for the new version idea, there have been a lot of fixes in the feedback thread, and from others such as the Elite Spartan unit...

    Thanks for the response Nicodemus
