    Default Serious Problems with Surrectum mod

    This mod is an amazing mod, and probly one of the best. But there are 2 things that definetly need to be looked at.
    1. free people are greek. they control land just about evrywhere. This isnt a big problem, but when im tryin to take over gallic territories and i see that it's already GREEK, it seems lik its not right. Even territories in the sahara, germania, the baltic coast, central asia, and even Ireland is greek. this definetly is not how it shud be.
    2. The factions definitly need to be rebalanced. the selucids and the ptolmaics are way to strong. greeks are also way too strong (they wipe out macedon evry time). Armenia is way too weak (they get wiped out by selucia). Parthia, pergamum, sarmatians, iberians, macedon all get wiped out before the 50th turn or so. and theres the factions that dont do anything lik dacia or syracuse or pergamum. they just sit there and wait to be destroyed by one of the stronger factions. there definetly needs to be some changes in the game.
    one more thing. a lot of the unit cards dont match the actual unit on the field.

    Hi Dont know how new you are here but they are working on it.
    Read the post on free people that should help.
    Also the free people are eveywhere to keep the factions from being taken over to quicky.
    Each free peoples location has a influence on them.
    Example, free people in gaul are gauls and mix of other units.
    same with spain, and germans. Same as carth.
    Mace. will have a influence of the hopelites and phal.
    same with other greek like factions.
    The east will have a eastern look with mixed of greeks.
    ( Remember these all independents. )
    Alexanders kingdom after it was divided gave a greek fluence around the world. Yet still also the influence of that religion and faction.
    But this next patch will blow your mind!!
    Meny new things are comeing and these men are dedicated to be the best mod.
    Historical and some things are what ifs ( i call it that)

    Trust me guys patch 10 will fix many bugs. It makes the mod so balanced when you play, its really different from patch 8. Just wait and you will be amazed.

    the problem i was trying to address was that the buildings in free people settlements dont match the regions' culture. for example i was the romans and i was taking over gaul and britania and i found that many gallic territories had greek buildings. that didnt seem right to me

    This may be a pinch off topic but I was doing a battle on hard difficulty.. I'm the romans. And man I got my ass kicked. I'm a veteran RTW player I know how to command troops but this was seriously unbalance.
    I was fighting the free people. So yea just to let you know.

    The problem with the Free People is that they are a REAL faction converted to look like the Slaves. They have to be SOME culture, and I chose greek because it would look the best on MOST of the map. But changes will come for them as well, so we're working on it.

    maybe the free people shouldnt be able to build buildings. that way they can't wreck the historically acurrate culture of that region.

    We have a method of fixing that problem, but it won't be in the next patch as it will take a while to implement. As for not being able to build any buildings, then the Free People would be a push over as they'd only be able to build crappy units.

    o yea.

    well besides the free people thing and the imbalances, this mod is the best.
    im looking foward to the next patch.

    once again, nice mod
