Default harmonica players -looking for advice

    Hi fellow harmonica players!

    (possibly better harmonica players though...)

I have a question and besides I think its a good idea to open a topic about harmonicas, which type is the best, playing advices, etc.

I bought an old Hohner 'Unsere Lieblinge' harmonica. It was made in the late 50's. It has a wooden part, as in most old fashioned harmonica. With 48 holes.
I think I payed a reasonable price, as new pieces of this harmonica cost about 40 euro. Mine wasn't even half of this price.

Now I wish to know...will I be able to use it effectively? I mrean its old...what if heavily used (although not likely judged after the pictures )
Still the wooden part could have altered during the decades...
    What are your thoughts, experiences?

By the way, which is the best harmonica type/brand?

Man, the only thing I know is that I know nothing of this subject.
However... it made a part of me wake up . I'd like to know more about harmonicas... I love their sound and how they fit in usual music.

This song has some harmonica parts that fits perfectly on the genre.
