darthmod 8.1

hey i had some trouble installing 8.0 and 8.1 so i tried just installing 8.0 and it worked. i was wondering if 8.1 is for barbarian invasion and thats why i had the problem?
im using rome total war gold edition (but i didnt install barbarian invasion) if that helps
i posted in the troubleshooting forum but from the looks of the dates on the replies im assuming i wont get an answer for a long time so im posting here

i got 8.1 but i dont have barbarian invasion.
just play RTW with 8.1.
i havent had any problems.
