Your units change when they are further away probably because you are still using the old sprite, see:
    http://tw.generalscollective.com/wik...?title=Sprites
for details of how to make new ones. If you don't want to go through that process you can just disable the existing sprite by putting a ; before the relevant line in descr_model_battle.txt eg:
    ;model_sprite 60.0, bi/data/sprites/greek_standard_sprite.spr
but that can make your game run slower in battles if you have an older computer.

For the video with the men fighting did you mean you want new video or just still picture? To get still picture you can put -nm on your shortcut, see
    http://tw.generalscollective.com/wik...line_functions
or there is method of doing that in preferences file and another way by altering the menu.int file. Depends if you want other videos to play or not.

The still picture you get instead is the backdrop.tga in the data/menu/textures file, you can change that to what you want quite easily.

The moving soldier video is in rtw/data/menu and is called Dump0000.m1v. There is probably proper software for making that sort of file but in Windows Movie Maker you can make .wmv file of new video and then change file extension to .m1v that seems to work
