Judas Priest are great, I love the song "The Ripper"! The vocals are great, I dunno who's the singer, but I like personally its voice. Usually, Judas Priest's lyrics are also something envyable.

Nice idea to make a thread about them, not many people mention them or know them.

The singer is Rob Halford. He is the god of metal!

For me, the god of metal is the almighty world-famous singer Ozzy Osbourne, lol. His voice is so creative and above all, started to inspirate many, many people and is said to form the metal genre.
However, these things are always discutiable.

Hope you also like black sabbath, because they're also great (it's my opinion, lol). They are similar with the vocals to Judas Priest, but the lyrics are different... I think...

Yeah, I meant that, proto-thing. Like Iggy Pop was the proto-punk as The Stooges and The Velvet Underground (Velvet are great!...).

i like what there doing now and the early 70's stuff my personal fav songs are

Dreamer deceiver
victim of changes
Beyond the realms of death (best solo)

K.k and glen are gods of guitar
Ian hill is the a bass player who knows what to do and doesn't exaggerate
Rob is a fanatical and awe inspiring singer
and scott is a very speedy drummer

The combination of kk and glenn is great how they pick up of each others solos is fantastic the lyric work on the songs is superb OVERALL GODS!!!!

Black sabbath are good i like tony iommi (SP?) because he left handed *hint hint*

hunter, did you know PETA sent Priest a letter telling them to stop wearing leather and to change the title of Hell Bent for Leather to Hell Bent for Pleather.

Priest replied only that they do wear pleather. PETA asked them to stop wearing pleather because it sends the wrong message and it encourages people to wear leather.

Priest didn't care to reply as far as I know.

Also I know many people who did not like Angel of Retribution. I thought it was a stellar album and really enjoyed it. It wasn't as good as some of their other albums but I still thought it was good.

I liked the album also in fact i have it.
