    Apologies in advance if this is not the right forum for this. But I've been playing BC for a few days (it is fantastic!) and had a question on soldier recruitment.
    I'm playing as the Rajputs in the campaign. I've taken over regions in Arabia (Mecca, Medina etc). However my castles in the area don't appear to be able to recruit anything else but naval units. Only cities can recruit Saracen spearmen and Mutawtawi huntsmen but nothing else.
    I was reading about the AOR system where my full ensemble of troops in limited to the Indian states but shouldn't castles even in far-off lands be able to recruit some troops (spearmen/archers at the very least)?

    That's because of the AOR system for castles. It will be improved in 1.5 of so we are told There are some submods that have different aproaches towards the aor
