Dont know if you want my opinion on this or not but you should ask boicote for his KOJ banner from portvcale. Really kewl looking. And a sugestion on their settlements, give them tons of castles and maybe just Jurusalem as a city because in real life the crusaders built many extensive castles throughout the ME. Their character names should be a mix of every European name, reflecting the cultural diversity of the KOJ.

I'll ask him, but I bet the banners for KOJ will be pretty similar regardless. Don't know if he will release them for use, though.

    You wanna ask him?

You truly are a machine AlphaDelta, amazing work. This is the fastest progress on a mod I've seen.

As mirage said, everyone is usually brainstorming still but you guys have a map and 2 factions done, bravo.

Great looking units, I would recommend toning down the faction colors though. Knights might have worn the colors of the Kingdom of Jerusalem, footmen, not so much.

Also, the Franks, who were the vast majority of the crusaders and European settlers did not use oval or round shields at the time, they also used swords rather than the Danish battle axe. Axes were used, but not to frequently as a primary weapon, and not the Danish battle axe (perhaps exuding Danish crusaders who were not among the most frequent crusaders in the Levant.

Alphadelta! Damn dude, Great work indeed! Those feudal lances blew me away! Wonderful work, as alread said ... this is an amazingly fast progress on a mod... keep it up.

I have a question if there will be any more units for the armenian faction, will some units be taken from the Jerusalem roster and moved and made for armenians?
    cheers

Yes, Mirage said in the other thread that in the later era, when the Armenian king Levon II Latinized the Armenian military, Armenia will have access to Crusader units, a pretty versatile kingdom.

    ur amazing alpha

will u give them also strong sword units?
and what about the templars and hospitallers[dismounted]? dont u think it would be good if they will be able to recruit them? they played major part on the crusades...

I can see your point. I will tone down the light spearmen and sergeants, but remember the mod will become far too bloated if we begin to seperate textures into 1 unique texture per unit, 1 unique texture per units shield etc. I have already painted over 70MB's of textures for this mod, and only covered 2 and a half of the factions rosters.

Also, the Franks, who were the vast majority of the crusaders and European settlers did not use oval or round shields at the time, they also used swords rather than the Danish battle axe. Axes were used, but not to frequently as a primary weapon, and not the Danish battle axe
Dont forget that these two units (the light spearmen and the men at arms) do not represent the majority of units in Jerusalems roster. Were oval shields used? I would guess some were perhaps due to Byzantine influences. Axes were used, yes most likely of a different design, but at this time we dont have a choice regarding the shape of the axehead. Variety is the spice of life, as they say.

Anyway, there will be swordsmen, most likely 3 of them, that puts the axemen in a minority, and yes there will be templars, hospitallers and teutonics. Dont worry so much my friends, it is under control.

Am I the only one who doesen't like the upgraded look of Templars/Hospitallers/Teutonics? I love the un-upgraded ones with the robes, atleast they look unique instead of looking like Chivalric Knight #51341. You guys should ditch their upgrades lol.

They wont be moved and reskinned. The crusader units will simply be recruitable by Armenia.
