Might as well discuss some parts of this faction.

So what about faction start? I'm currently planning on having them start with Sis and Tarsus. Sis will be a fort and Tarsus a large town. Are you guys cool with that?

And what about the starting Rupenid leaders? Who was in charge at about 1175. Don't need to be absolutely accurate. If there was a more colorful character in charge a little earlier or after then who cares - we'll use them instead of the historical ones.

Also banners and symbol. Anybody wanna repost that red lion?

Ruben III should start...his brother Levon II should inherit (Roupenid is the surname). No idea when Ruben was born, but he died in 86. If we can't do that, then just make Levon II Roupenid the king.

The city setup seems good to me.

Actually, in 1175, the mod start, Armenia is in a bad position. Its king, Mleh, has just been assassinated and Ruben III has ascended. At this time Tarsus and the lower plains of Cilicia were in Byzantine hands. However, Ruben III quickly retook Tarsus and the cities in the lowlands, so basicly Armenia should start with only Sis, but be in the perfect position to take Tarsus and eventually Antioch. (Levon II took Antioch)

Mleh was a muslim convert who was backed by Nur-al Din. He was ousted by the Roupenid leadership in 1174 and replaced by Ruben in 1175 (until his death in the year of 1187).

Google is your best friend. Just type in orthodox icons, and there you go! Unless you're looking for a specific icon...

Added the names list. We'll need surnames too.

I figures we won't need that many names since this game is 2 turns per year and has a shorter times span than vanilla (1175-1400). This means your family members will live "longer" and you will spend more quality time with each prince.

Aint directly sure what is what here, but these are armenian names. Some are used in noble families but are also in common people.

For noble names its like this i.e before the surname there is a anquri or a tehr. tehr means like owner or possessor and anquri, im not total sure what it means, but its something like that.
    For example a noble name:

Ruben arquni Amatuni, Vartan tehr Darbandean

    Abeluni
    Abelean
    Aldznuni
    Amatuni
    Apahuni
    Aravelean

This has been used in the kingdom of Great Armenia (kind of social pyramid of nobility)
    Arqa (King)
    Bdeshkh (viceroy)
    Ishkhanats ishkhan (grand duke)
    Ishkhan (prince)

    In cilicia:
    Tagavor or Inqnakal (King, leader)

    Paronats Paron (or Metz Paron)
    Paron (= Mr or lord)

(some more research on this should be done before any decisions)

    Lol bror
It was supposed to say "or" instead of och :p hahaa

    edit:*

What main colours does armenia really have, is it brown? I mean the georgian faction has like red, black and white as its colours.. whats armenias?
And is it possible to add in the royal armenian noble infantry known as Nakhararakan Tiknapah as a unit.
Historically, the Nakhararakan Tiknapah acted often as palace guards for the royal dynasty itself, but they could also be deployed on the battlefield, where their equipment, training and ethos allowed them to do much more than just act as bodyguards. Taken the info from EB.
(Im not trying to push u guys into anything, Its lovely how much u have achieved in this short time.. so im just saying this )

And another horse archer unit may be suitable for an armenian faction, they did use alot of them(anatolia did).
