Time paradox

I'm actually trying to find a book about a time paradox that i read more then 10years ago.

It was about a society(you mainly followed one man) where time travel is possible but cause ruptions in space/time that they tried to fix(by killing the previous time travellers)

You had several time travelling generations that fought one another in the hope of restoring the universe. But it was the latest generation that realised that they should also kill themselves to restore the first mistakest(since they were born out of the first and every mistake that followed after it)

I don't even know if it was a short story in a book or full book in itself.

Any help in finding the title of this book, or to advise another decent book/film about time paradoxes would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried wiki? I can't help much, but wikipedia sure helps more than I do. I bet so, lol.

I like literature, but I'm one those teens that is always ocupied and likes to do more stuff than reading (which is quite a mistake, I must say...).
