    Default Skins

How do I add a downloaded skin to my game (RTW)?
I searched and searched for a tutorial to help but couldn't find one. Any help would be appreciated!

    This could get you started

In general an easy way to add a new unit is to copy the information from a unit with the same weapon type, and then change the references to the texture, model and the name of the unit. Once you practice you will find it is easy enough, just back things up by taking a copy of whatever files you change before you start editing.

The main files for editing units are:-

    activision/rome - total war/data/export_descr_unit
    activision/rome - total war/data/descr_model_battle
    activision/rome - total war/data/export_descr_buildings

I would say export_unit is more important than export_descr_buildings.

You define the name it appears with, it description etc in export_unit, and you add it in export_descr_units to make it recruitable in a campaign...

For noobs the most important thing is to get the unit working in the game which may well require getting it during a campaign game. Descriptions and unit cards can come later.
