Adding ram

Hi i have a mother board that supports pc1600 1700 2700 3200 and 4000
(Asus p4s533-e)And would like to add 512 ram,but what should i do buy ram with the same pc as the first 512 mb or purschase a better one like pc4000.

your ram speed is limited to the speed of the systems slowest stick of memory so if your old stick is 3200 buying 4000 won't be any better than just buying another stick of 3200.

probably not, it's not always a great idea to mix brands and speeds though, it can rarely cause compatability issues.
