I haven't played IBFD for a little while now... However I remember I was going to raise a query that I've long forgotten about. Well, actually two. Firstly, shouldn't a 1st legionary Cohort outnumber a standard cohort, even if it isn't double strength like in vanilla, but maybe 20%-40%-50% stronger with an increase in cost (though since they cost much already, the cost shouldn't be entirely parallel the to the increase in unit size). Then, you gotta somehow make the Legio Palatina different from the 1st Cohorts, their stats are nearly identical, but the 1st Cohorts are an all round superior unit... Maybe you can bump up the Legio Palatina's attack or something, or make them more aggressive somehow, just to make em different..

re: 1st cohort, there are no 1st cohorts in next version:

roman infantry go somewhat like this:
1level-auxilias only
2level-exculcatores
auxilia cohors
sagitarii (unarmored)
3level-comitatenses (legio) (different models accdg to region but similar stats)
armored sagitarii
no more auxilias
4level-auxilia palatina/palatina (in specific regions only)
