    Here's my point of view...

    1 Roman General
    4 legionary Cavalry
    5 Roman Cohorts
    3 Heavy Onagers
    3 Auxillia Archers
    4 Auxillia

You may think differently but I have a settlement with them units in and I have never lost a battle with them.

lol wiseguy, some people are not blitzers who run over settlements with hordes of cheap units. I like to do it one city at a time, i do it in American style, City jumping. Everytime i conquer a city, i recruit some cheaper units for keeping order, and the army goes on to a new city

The combo that always works for me and is closest via TW to what Roman legions were truely made of is this:

    9 Roman legions
    1 Roman first legion
    1 Roman general
    2 Legionary cav
    4 archers
    1 Onager
2 aux troops (either the actual Roman aux or merc aux troops)*

    * you can also switch out the two aux units for 2 more archers or two more onagers if you're attacking a well defended and HUGE city...besides that I keep the rest of the units pretty much at the same amount

Wait - isnt that how you play TW to begin with haha? If there's another way to play it rather then taking city to city I'd love to know...lol

Some people spawn a lot of cheap units... and then attack several cities at one, i like to do it slow at a time and build more economy instead of blitzing.. another wiseguy

I dont know if you misunderstood me or if I'm misunderstanding you...I meant the "isnt that how you play..." comment in response to your statement that cities are taken one by one

then u misunderstood me, or both Because i mean i dont jump to cities with 6 armies at once, i like to do the more economic side of the game and less Battles, then the battles are more fun
