    Default XR mod patch potential bugs & real bugs!

    Hi XR mod team,

    I have 2 things to point out:

    I. I played as Rome vs. Epirus and found these 3 bugs:

    A. I have had 2 CTD's due to an unknown Epirus unit(s).
    I have, obviously, no way of knowing which unit(s) as the CTD occurs AFTER I auto-choose the units.

    B. I found that the Roman General in his speech says THIS about the Epirus faction: "They call themselves the Senate and People of Rome...."
    RTW 1.5 bug or RTR: PE bug or RTR: PE XR mod bug?

    Are ALL these "general's speeches" screwed up? I don't know.

    C. I noticed that the shadows of the Galatian Legionaries and Pezoi were both square-like and normal (human-like in form) as you rotated over the battlefield from a bird's eye perspective and down in the battlefield itself, looking at each respective units' shadows.

    I tried to see if it was a problem on my end by adjusting the "anti-aliasing" from low to high: NO CHANGES and by turning the "detailed unit shaders" on: NO CHANGES

    II. Other units shadows looked o.k. BTW

    A) I've played every single Epirote unit multiple times both against and with in custom battles and had no problems, and played against them successfully as Romans in campaign. I have no idea what could be causing that. Are you sure it was a unit causing the crash?

    B) Yeah, just found out about that one. I have no idea how to fix it. It may be hard-coded, but it should only affect a few factions.

    C) That's interesting about the pezoi and G. Leg. The former I added in, and the latter are from the Promethean version of the ExRm. I'll check those out, thanks.

    A. Last custom battle settings are saved into ExRM\custom\previous battle.cbt
    Can you zip and attach the file or at least try to load it again and see of the bug is reproducible.

    That's because Epirus replaced the Senate faction. If you fight the Galatians or Britons, your general will call them Romans, the Illyrians will be called Britons, the Bactrians will be called Thracians, etc. None of us are voice actors, so we didn't record new speeches.

    I can also confirm the square shadows for the Galatian legionaries and pezoi... not sure how shadows work though so I have no idea how to fix it. Personally it doesn't bother me that much.

    The only way to correct those is to actually record a new voice for the modded faction. In this case I believe Epirus are using the former Senate slot.

    I'd like to point out that I still get a corrupted texture for Italic skirmishers and the ugly big square on top of rebel cities on the strat map.

    Problems caused by the mod switch ?

    That's odd. I'm playing the same version you are, and I'm not getting either of those. Are you sure you installed correctly? I even tested the Italic skirmishers extra after the last time.

    I fixed the problem yesterday, was because RTRPE was already installed in the main RTW/Data folder. So basically I had two installs.
